Informational purpose

PianoLookup provides serial-number ranges, production-year estimates and related historical information. Results are based on the data currently available in the database and can be incomplete, approximate or subject to revision.

No appraisal or authentication

A serial-number result is not a professional appraisal, certificate of authenticity, ownership record, condition report or guarantee that every part of an instrument is original.

No warranty of completeness

Piano serial-number histories can contain gaps, overlapping sequences and inconsistent surviving records. PianoLookup does not warrant that every manufacturer, serial number, factory or production year is represented.

Use of results

You are responsible for independently verifying information before using it for a purchase, sale, insurance decision, restoration project or other financial or legal purpose.
